Base column on Footing: This is the base column which is erected on footing. This is the basis for the column so this should be done perfectly by the help of vibrator and plumb. This portion of column will be filled with soil and plinth beam will rest on it.  

Footing Concrete using M20 grade Footing Concrete is the first concrete during building construction. Entire load of the building is taken by this footing so this is the need for having good concrete.  M20 grade (1:1.5:3) 1 Portion Cement, 1.5 Portion Sand and 3 Portion of aggregate is the minimum requirement for footing concrete.    

Importance of Bar Bending: Bar bending is the process of cutting, bending and binding the steel rods as per the structural drawing. It is key for any construction as strength of the structure are related to bar bending work.  Below are some of the advantages having good bar bending work It gives strength to the structure Saves material cost as material is used based on the structural specification and chances of wastage is less.  Peace of mind as structure is done as per engineering specification.

 Column position marking need to be done before raising the columns. It is considered as best practice in civil engineering.  Below are some of the advantages marking the column position Possibility of putting columns at exact location is high. It is easy to put the column rods at right place in one go itself. Movement of columns rods are tough due to its weight. Also moving column rods frequently will make it loose which is not good. It gives idea whether column is going to be placed at center or not. If not in center there is scope for correction well in advance.

Footing PCC for Column : PCC is needed before putting the columns due to below few reasons It avoids steel touching the soil.  Level and smooth surface which is needed for column resting. Reduce the wastage of concrete Clean work  

  Column Center Line Plan:  Center line plan is  a grid line that passes through the center of a column . A grid of similar lines for several columns forms a centerline plan. It is used to show exact positioning of a column on site. It is divided between X and Y axis.   Earth Excavation Plan: Earth excavation plan is used on site during excavation. It gives correct information about the size like length, width and depth.  PCC: Once Excavation is done, PCC using M15 grade need to be done due to below reason To avoid direct contact between steel rod and soil. Leveling the surface which is mandatory before putting the column. Column Marking: This is best practice to mark column position on the PCC because f ixing column is easy as there is very less chances for misplacement of columns.
